Mystic Living Center

Suffering is inevitable for those born into the physical world. This is the nature of being human. Trying to improve your life through positive thinking and using your mind will only lead to temporary success because this world operates on dualities. For every good, there is a bad; for every up, there is a down. Any improvements you make will eventually fade away, leaving you miserable once again. You'll go back and forth between happiness and misery, constantly fighting for your survival and asserting your rights. Like those who have jobs feel miserable because of the constant pressure and demands. Meanwhile, those without work are equally unhappy because they cannot find employment. And even when they do land a job, they often end up joining the ranks of the miserable ones who dread going to work every day.
During a conversation last week, I met a bodybuilder who was boasting about his muscles and the strict diet he follows to maintain them. I had to laugh and responded that he would make for the healthiest man in the cemetery. This exchange sums up my views: why not channel that energy into something more meaningful? This doesn't mean neglecting your physical health, but rather trusting that your body will take care of itself if you focus on inner growth and connecting with your true Self. In fact, as you continue your spiritual practice and deepen your understanding of Self, your body will naturally thrive under a different set of laws guiding its functions. Your body has its own purpose and abilities independent from your spiritual Self, and it is best left in its capable hands while you focus on spiritual growth.
True happiness resides within you. You are not defined by external appearances or circumstances. In reality, nothing can truly affect your inner Self. It's pointless to worry about trivial things like hair loss, needing new shoes, or weight gain. These concerns drain our energy and serve no purpose in the end. We will all eventually end up in the same place, so why waste time and energy on insignificant matters?
Where is peace?
Peace is your real nature.
It's within you.
It is You.
Look for it inside and you'll find it.
Seek and ye shall find.
